01-Defining Subinventories

Defining Subinventories

Subinventories are unique physical or logical separations of material inventory such as raw inventory, finished goods or defective material. All material within an organization must reside in a subinventory. Consequently, you must define one subinventory for each of your organizations. When you perform transactions, you transact material in and out of subinventories. You can reserve material in the subinventory, and the subinventory is under locator control.
